Teaching Resources

Teaching of any kind requires the use of resources to suit the material to be taught, the student learning style and the tutor's plan. ALPN has collected all kinds of resources in the form of books, exercise books, cards, games and computer software for teaching literacy - all available at our premises behind the Square Edge.

It was decided a couple of years ago to start putting together a collection of teaching resources which tutors could use directly from their web browser or download and print to hand out as exercises/tests to students as they wished. This is the home of these on-line resources.

The "Local" button above leads directly to those resources which have been developed locally for use as needed. Most of these are in the form of printable pages which can be used interactively during a tuition session or as hand-outs for "home-work" which students may be asked to carry out.

The second button above leads to teaching resources which have been collected from overseas adult literacy sites - and includes links to those sites which have been found of use.

Direct access to individual resource groups may be made by clicking on an entry in the drop down menu shown when hovering over the relevant button above.
